What you send us through the form

The enquiry form asks for a name, a way to reach you, what kind of job it is, what kind of building you are in, and a description of the floor. Everything in it is optional except a contact detail, because without one we cannot answer you.

What you send is used to reply to your enquiry and to carry out the work if you go ahead. It is not sold, and it is not passed to anyone who is not involved in answering you or doing the job.

The form also contains one hidden field that is not shown to you and should stay empty. It exists to catch automated submissions, and nothing you do fills it in.

Analytics

Flooring Masters uses Google Analytics to understand how this website is found and used. It records the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, the kind of device and browser you use, and how you arrived. It also records that an enquiry form was submitted, so we know which pages lead to enquiries. It sets cookies to do that.

It does not record your name, your phone number, your email address or anything you type into the enquiry form. Those go to us and only to us, and are never sent to Google. Advertising features and cross-site tracking are switched off.

Google may process this data outside your country. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Any browser setting or extension that blocks analytics also works, and blocking it does not affect the enquiry form or anything else on this site.

The map in the footer

The footer of every page carries a map frame showing the Queens area we work across. It is served by Google Maps, so when it loads your browser makes a request to Google, and that request carries your IP address as any web request does. Google may also set its own cookies for the frame. Google's own privacy terms cover both.

The frame is not loaded when the page opens. It only loads if you scroll far enough down to reach it, so on a visit where you never reach the footer no request to Google is made at all.

Nothing you type into the enquiry form is involved. The map does not know it is on a page with a form, and blocking it does not affect the form or anything else on this site.

Fonts

The typeface on this site is served by Google Fonts, which means your browser requests the font files from Google when a page loads. That request carries your IP address, as any request for a file does.

No cookie is set by the font request and nothing about your visit to this site is sent with it.

Cookies

This site does not set advertising cookies and does not run advertising trackers.

The analytics described above may set cookies in your browser to recognise a returning visit. Your browser settings control whether it can, and blocking them does not stop any part of this site working.

How long anything is kept

Enquiries are kept while they are live and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that if you come back to us about the same floor we know what was discussed.

Analytics data is held under the retention settings of the analytics service and is not linked to your enquiry.

Asking us about your information

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Get in touch through the contact page and tell us what you would like done.

If you ask us to delete an enquiry we will, unless we need part of it to complete work that is already under way.
